Loki is a highly active and very clever dog. He is a master escape artist and will open crates, dig/wiggle under fences and jump over barriers of certain heights. He loves to lay in the grass and smell the breeze. He is currently out of shape but can go on hikes and walks but gets winded easily (but with consistency, he can walk/run for miles!). Loki is crate trained and house broken and is able to give clear cues when he needs to go outside. He loves belly rubs and being close to you (sometimes he would lay near/across your feet). He is a BIG chewer, so anything left within his reach he will try to chew (he’s even chewed through “tough” dog toys). He’s good with children & other dogs but will stand his ground if another dog tries to go at him. He is a sucker for food and will listen to most commands especially if there’s an incentive.

We believe the best fit would be a home with a family that has time to give him attention and LOTS of outdoor time/space. He loves to explore and due to his high energy needs to run a lot. The first few years of his life, we lived in an apartment and he is okay with being indoors, being in his crate and having scheduled times to eat/going out to the bathroom. As a husky he sheds a lot and does need consistent grooming.

Loki knows the commands: Sit, Down (lay), paw (hi5), crate (to get into his crate). He can maintain eye contact when in the down position if you want him to stay. He also knows free/eat as his release command. More training/reinforcement maybe needed. When walking with a leash, he does better with a body harness. He will pull while on the leash until he’s tired.

Loki’s neutered and has a microchip. He is up to date on his rabies vaccine but needs to have his other vaccines (missed this years annual check up). No medical conditions or dietary needs however he does have a little of a sensitive stomach.
