Hank is a 3 year old pure bred bloodhound. He was given to me by a breeder after he was returned to them. The people who bought him felt like he was too rough with their young children and too vocal. He has been around kids of all ages and does very well. He is extremely loving and loves to be pet. He has enough energy for exercising and is a great running partner. But he also knows how to relax once he’s inside. He does have a powerful nose, so if there is food left out he will find it and get it. He is intelligent and picks up things fast, plus he is very food motivated. He can be stubborn but if you are firm with him he listens. He gets along with my golden retriever (10 yrs). He is reactive on the leash and if there are dogs on the other side of a fence. But has never had problems with other dogs I have babysat. He is in good health and fixed, as well as up to date on shots. He will especially need someone who will bond with him because that is very important for the breed. Once he is bonded to someone, they are his best friend.
