NBC and Telemundo owned stations are teaming up with hundreds of shelters across the country to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive on Saturday, August 17th to help find loving homes for animals in need. The Humane Society of Polk County is participating in this national campagin and we are excited to announce that we are being sponsored by GEICO. For this event our adopt fees will be discounted to $50 for puppies and kittens and $25 for adult dogs and cats. So if you’re thinking about taking home a new furry friend, consider heading to the Humane Society of Polk County to adopt during Clear the Shelters on Aug. 17th.
