I was driving along Highway 544 when I spotted a beautiful, intact male pitbull mix running erratically right in the middle of traffic. It was terrifying; he nearly got hit by several cars before he managed to dart into a nearby warehouse for cover.

When I went in after him, the employees there told me a heartbreaking story – apparently, he’s been a stray in that area for about a year, having been abandoned. They even mentioned he’d been hit by a car once before but somehow recovered. Honestly, my heart just sank hearing that, and I simply couldn’t leave him there to potentially get seriously injured or worse. So, I took him under my wing!

He is genuinely the sweetest dog you could imagine – incredibly gentle and loving. The big snag is, I’m brand new to the area, having just moved here from Pennsylvania, and my home is already a full house with three pugs and a few cats. As much as I’d love to, I’m just not in a position to keep him permanently, and it’s truly breaking my heart to even consider that.
