Pepper is a sweet, gentle 5-year-old neutered Chihuahua with a quiet soul and a heart full of love. Through no fault of his own, he is looking for a new forever home because his owner is facing unexpected housing and medical challenges. She simply wants to find him a safe, loving family where he can continue to thrive.

This tiny guy is happiest enjoying life’s simple pleasures—a cozy bed, a warm lap, and the comfort of being close to his favorite person.

Pepper’s favorite qualities include:

• 🏡 House-trained with a routine of outdoor potty breaks and occasional pee pad use overnight
• 🤫 Quiet and rarely barks, usually only to let you know someone is at the door
• 🚗 Loves car rides
• 🐱 Gets along well with cats
• 👧 Would do best with older, gentle children because of his small size
• 🛋️ A true cuddle bug who loves relaxing in soft, cozy beds
• 🐕 Stays close to home and enjoys simply being near his people

Pepper does have a flea allergy, so he’ll need to stay on monthly flea prevention to keep his skin healthy and comfortable. He also experienced a few very brief seizures over a year ago, but after being evaluated by a veterinarian, no treatment was recommended, and he has remained happy and healthy since.
