Pets for Re-homing

Callie – Rehoming Pet

Description

Callie is one of those dogs who leaves a little imprint on your heart without even trying.

She came to us as a tiny puppy, and we were told she was already full grown—which turned out to be a sweet little surprise, because she grew just a bit more into the perfect small, lively companion. She’s not even a year old yet, and in the few months we’ve had her, she has shown us just how much love can fit into such a small, silly body.

Callie is full of life. I often call her my “little Olympian” because she can jump so high and zoom around the house with pure joy. She’s energetic and playful, always ready to run, explore, and make you laugh. But once she settles down, she becomes the biggest cuddle bug. Her favorite place is curled up in your lap, gently tucking her head under your chin or against your neck, as if she’s trying to get as close to your heart as possible.

She is incredibly sweet-natured and gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and children. She loves being around people and truly thrives on companionship. One of the cutest things she does is wrap herself up in a blanket like a little burrito on the couch, completely content just being near you.

Callie is housebroken and very smart—she knows to use puppy pads and will let you know when she needs to go outside by barking from her crate. She does well with routines and just needs a bit more guidance and training, especially with her excitement when greeting people (she loves everyone a little too much).

Being honest, Callie deserves more time and attention than I’m currently able to give her. With my work schedule, she spends long stretches in her crate during the day, and while she gets love in the mornings, evenings, and full freedom on weekends, it’s not the full, active life she truly deserves.

This decision comes from a place of love. Callie is not just a pet—she’s part of our family. She is goofy, affectionate, loyal, and full of personality. She would thrive in a home where she can run, play, and be surrounded by people who have the time to match her energy and return the love she gives so freely.

If I could describe her in one sentence: she will fit right in wherever she goes—she just needs someone who can give her the time, patience, and love she’s ready to give right back.

We truly want the very best for our sweet girl.

P.S. As far as Callie’s medical history, I unfortunately don’t have confirmed records. It’s possible she may have received some initial puppy vaccinations or even been microchipped before coming to us, but I cannot say for certain. I had planned to have her fully evaluated and updated as she got a little older, but it became clear that her need for time, attention, and activity is greater than what I can currently provide. My hope is simply that she finds a loving home where she can be fully cared for, cherished, and given the happy, active life she truly deserves.
