Milo is a male Akita just under one year old with lots of energy and personality. He’s an active dog who loves to run, go on long walks, and wrestle and play with other dogs. Milo needs an adopter who can keep up with his high energy level and provide daily exercise, especially regular walks, which help manage his anxiety.

Milo has not been around children and does not do well with cats, so he would be best in a cat-free home with an experienced owner. Once he gets to know you, Milo becomes very loyal and attached—he’s the type of dog who will follow you everywhere and form a strong bond with his person.

He has had some professional training but would benefit from continued training and structure. Milo loves big bones, treats, and KONG toys, and he takes his role as a guard dog seriously.
