Dixie is a cuddler and a lover of sunny spots in the grass. She loves treats, walks, and short jogs. When we go on walks, if she starts to look like she’s going to get in someone’s space, I tell her “mind your manners” and she drops her attention immediately.

I’ve never had an animal so good at taking medicine. We put it in front of her and she takes it. No fighting, no hassle. She is a bit of a nervous nelly, but can be calmed down quickly with kind words and a few pets. Dixie really just wants attention and love.

She warms up to cats and children quickly, though she gets along with dogs on a case by case basis. She is on thyroid medicine, that she takes a small dose 2x a day, but getting her to take it is like giving her a snack. She’s that easy.

Dixie is a good girl who just wants a quiet life and some time in the sunshine. Unfortunately, I’m a single mom of a toddler, so neither of those things are easy to come by. Please consider helping us both of you can give her the love she deserves!
