Pets for Re-homing

Cowbaby – Rehoming Pet

Description

Cowbaby is a 6-lb male Chihuahua who is in need of a very special and understanding home. Before coming to his current owner, Cowbaby was an abused dog, and as a result he can be anxious and nervous around new people. However, with patience, kindness, and time, he learns to trust—and once he does, he is a very sweet and loving little boy.

Cowbaby is pee-pad trained, though he does have occasional accidents. He has never bitten anyone, though he may growl at first until he feels safe. He currently lives with another dog and a cat and does well with both.

Cowbaby will need some dental care, and he tends to lick his legs, which has caused them to appear pink. He would do best with a calm, patient adopter who understands shy or previously abused dogs and can give him a quiet, loving environment.

Due to health limitations, his owner— a disabled veteran—can no longer provide the level of care Cowbaby needs, and this decision is being made with love and concern for his well-being.

Cowbaby is looking for a gentle, patient “dog mom or dad” who can give him the time, understanding, and love he deserves.
