Red is a pit terreior mix. He is medium size dog but some people might consider him on the larger side if the scale because of his height. He is a young adult who still likes to play, and is also potty trained and gets along with other dogs with no problem and is kid friendly too. He isn’t cat friendly however. Maybe due to limited interaction with them but his temperment is very well managed and definitely has potential to be a cat friendly dog in the future. He was raised on dirt roads and walks freely without a leach because he listens and doesn’t run off without permission. But at the present time Red spends about 20 hours or more each and everyday in his cage located under a tree outside. Red, and 8 other dogs were abandoned by a neighbor who got some jail time (not relating to his pets). And when my neighbor was arrested he couldn’t find a new home in time for his dogs and they were literally left on the street with nothing. He asked us to take them and even tho we agreed to care for the dogs the best we can, we are unable to keep them. We already have 5 dogs and the property owner said no more than that so we currently violating our property agreement. But the landlord is right because the caged life is no picnic. Not all the animals get alone so all of them are caged or tied up all the time. Red is so greatful for everything and is still such a good dog through it all and he deserves a good home.
