The Humane Society of Polk County's Match a Pet Program helps match prospective guardians with appropriate animals based on animal preferences.

Here's how it works:

You fill out the Match a Pet Form and tell us exactly what sort of pet you're looking for. Please be as specific as you can (for example, if your rental lease only allows you a pet weighing no more than 20 pounds, or if you only want a female dog under a year old).

When you send in the Match A Pet Form and Adoption Profile we will keep your information on file for six months. During that time, if any animals come to the HSPC that match your preferences, we will put the animal on hold and contact you, before placing the animal up for general adoption.
